Integration of higher education systems: internship for KazNU master students

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the leading institution of the system of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was the first to pass the state certification and which has justified its right to realize academic activity on all specialties and at all levels.

Al-FarabiKazNU is the leader of the General rating of the universities of Kazakhstan. The University has an enormous educational, scientific, spiritually educational, innovative and production potential which is aimed to the training of specialists of the highest qualification, further integration into the global educational space, development of fundamental and applied research, their implementation into production.

The university consists of 15 functioning faculties, 98 departments, 20 scientific research institutes and centers, a techno-park; more than 2000 professors, doctors, scientific candidates and PhD’s, more than 100 academicians of the largest academies, about 30 honored figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan, more than 30 laureates of State and nominal awards of RK and 40 laureates of the young scientists’ awards, 45 fellows of state scientific fellowships. More than 18000 students and masters at the multilevel system of higher professional education study in the university. We cooperate with 418 largest international universities of the world on the realization of joint international educational programs, exchange programs for students and internship.

Faculty of Economics and business is one of the oldest departments of al-Farabi Kazakh National University.Economic faculty of the University was opened in 1949.In September 2010 the decision of the Academic Council of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University faculty of Economics and business was renamed to the higher school of Economics and business.

Higher school of Economics and business consists of 4 departments:

-"Economy"

-"Management and marketing"

-"Finance"

-"Accounting and audit"

Our department is called the Management and Marketing. Department of Management and Marketing was formed in 2011 through the merger of "Management and Business" and "Marketing and Commerce" departments. Department of Management and Business was formed in 1995 and headed by Corresponding Member (A.M.) of National Academy of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor K.N.Naribaev. Department of Marketing and Commerce was established in January, 1995 in order to increase the level of training in marketing. The department has a great educational, scientific, innovative and productive potential, which is effectively used to prepare highly qualified specialists according to the most modern educational approaches.

Every year on the basis of scientific development of master students Kazakh National University organizes international scholarships. International scholarship runs on the scope of bilateral agreements among universities from over the 95 countries. Scholarships consist of lectures and professional visits, also master students get permission to use local and national library, have access to discuss their scientific problems with local top ranked professors.

In July, 2016 master students of Management and Marketing department held international scholarship at János Kodolányi University of Applied Sciences, Budapest, Hungary. The main topic of the scholarship was Management regulations in open market. At the session, we carried out practical tasks, solve problems , analyze crises and stabilization policy , divided into three groups and gave a presentation about the crisis in 1929, 1997, 2008.

Work has been done to macroeconomics of open systems, and its application to the analysis of crises and stabilization policies in Székesfehérvár on the example of Greece, the Asian currency crisis, the Great Depression in 1929 and the financial crisis in 2008. During the lectures of Dr. Jozsef Horvath were discussed influence of economic issues on management, how to interact on open market, reviewed some historical incidents which changed management structure. Beside the lectures there were entertainment programs, which helped master students feel free and friendly in Budapest, cultural programs to introduce city and university to their guests.Students from Department of Management and Marketing of al-FarabiKazNU during this period, engaged in gathering information about the topic of the dissertation in the library of the Faculty of Management in Budapest, attended lectures of teachers, studied macroeconomics and microeconomics.
