Scholarships & Discounts

KJU offers scholarships, grants and fee discounts to reward outstanding achievement and to help ensure that fears about finance do not constrain students from studying at our university.

Scholarships

National Scholarships are designed to recognize all-around excellence. They are awarded based on outstanding academic performance to candidates who demonstrate ability for creative and innovative thought and a passion for the pursuit of learning.

MNB Excellence Scholarship

Based on the agreement concluded between the Hungarian National (MNB) and the KJU, it will provide support to the MNB's excellence scholarship program.

The scholarship may be awarded to a student participating in full-time study related to the activities of the central bank and providing outstanding academic, scientific and community performance in the field of economics. The number of awards and the scholarship budget is defined by academic years. In the academic year 2021/2022, the number of students to be supported by the Scholarship Program is 2 persons / undergraduate program and 1 person / master's program. The maximum amount of the support budget in the academic year 2021/2022 is 3 people X HUF 50,000 / month / person X 10 months = HUF 1,500,000, the MNB provides coverage.

Graduating BA/BSc students, who applied for MA/MSc in the upcoming semester, can also hand in application for the scholarship. The National Higher Educational Scholarship is awarded for a full academic year (10 months), and the scholarship's monthly amount in 2021 is HUF 40.000, according to Section 114/D Part (1) Point c) of Higher Education Act.
