Erasmus+, the European Union’s most successful initiative, provides a unique opportunity for you to study at a foreign institution for a semester or full-year or complete your practical placement abroad. The academic, social, personal and cultural benefits of participating in the Erasmus+ program are huge. It can be challenging to live away from home and study or work in another country but it can also offer you a unique opportunity to travel, meet new friends and study subjects that may not be offered at your home university.
With the support of the European Commission within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KJU has exchange agreements with several universities worldwide. To find out which universities have an agreement with KJU, please consult your home Erasmus coordinator and the List of Partners.
In case of students coming from an institution of a program country (EU), the mobility grant for the exchange period is provided by the home university.
In case of ICM students, the grant is provided by KJU: a grant agreement covering the mobility period is signed by the student and KJU, and the grant is transferred to the student’s bank account before the start of actual studies.
The sending institution must give full academic recognition for satisfactorily completed activities during the mobility period as agreed in the Learning Agreement, by using ECTS credits or an equivalent system. The mobility period should also be recorded in the Diploma Supplement.
Erasmus+ students – whether or not they receive an Erasmus+ EU grant – are exempted from paying fees for tuition, registration, examinations and access to laboratory and library facilities at the host institution
International Credit Mobility is the international opening of Erasmus between EU program countries and non-EU partner countries in both directions (i.e. outgoing and incoming). This action is managed by National Agencies located in Programme Countries.
