At the end of January 2019, more than 20 international students took their final exam and completed their degree at KJU in the double degree program BSc Tourism and Management.
About the final exam, Oleksii Hrytsiuk pointed out that he “was especially impressed by the high quality organization of the thesis defense exam and the opportunity to communicate professionally with foreign researchers and examiners.”
“The thesis defense and the final exam passed with emotions, but thanks to the accumulated knowledge and thorough preparation for the exam everything went great! However, nothing works without luck – I got easy topics!” said Anastasia Kuznetsova smilingly and she continued: “a degree is necessary nowadays, therefore I will gladly use it, and work in the profession. Many thanks to the teachers for their professionalism and patience!”
The most comprehensive picture of the exam was given by Oleksandr Melay:
“I would like to share my impressions, as it turned out to be one of the most important and exciting steps in my life. I was very worried about how things would go, because I needed to defend my thesis in another country with a different culture and mentality. Perhaps the most important factor was not writing the thesis, but the ability to explain everything in my own words. The professor was not only smart but a very wise man; he explained to us that the more we know the more questions we ask about what we don’t know. After my presentation we got into a conversation, and my nervousness turned into a pleasant conversation. After I defended my thesis, I immediately realized that I could work in the best hotels or tourist companies in Europe and beyond, because ours is a European degree and it is recognized throughout the civilized world. Currently, I work at the franchise Hilton Hotel which is located in the city of Prague. Parallel, I want to get a master’s degree here to seek new heights in my career. The university I graduated from puts its stamp on all my life: my like-minded fellow-students and the teachers who showed me the way that I should confidently follow.”
Our congratulations to the graduates! We wish them all happiness and successful career!
