KJU delegation were invited to the Gala night organised by the Huaxing Arts Group to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese-Hungarian Diplomatic relations and the Chinese Mid-Autumn festival.
Last week, on the 9th of September, KJU’s Rector, Dr. h.c. Péter Szabó PhD and Vice Rector for International and Continuing Education, Dr. Orsolya Hoffmann were invited to the Gala night organised by the Huaxing Arts Group to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese-Hungarian Diplomatic relations and the Chinese Mid-Autumn festival.
During the event, Dr. Szabó and Dr. Hoffmann had the opportunity to talk to Ambassadors and delegates from other foreign countries and Hungarian politicians as well.
During the night, both the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China and the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Mr. János Latorcai have strongly expressed the importance of the collaborations of the two countries, not only limited to the economy but also the culture and education. Followed by the speeches, KJU’s representatives have enjoyed a series of performance, which combined both the Hungarian and Chinese cultures; from singing, dancing, poetry to Hungarian traditional instruments. The performances were truly mesmerising and impressive.
