The 2^nd International Kodolányi Jazz Competition ended with the award ceremony and the concert of the jury members and the winning bands. Jazz lovers enjoyed a real delicacy with the jury members performing a gala concert together for the first time.
Contestant bands were to compete in three rounds performing jazz standards written before 1960, original compositions of their own and free improvisation. The jury consisted of Antonio Sanchez, Ed Neumeister, Hans Glawischnig, János Gonda and Dániel Szabó, who made their decision based on the performance exhibited during the three rounds.

The final result is as follows:
1st place: MAXIME SANCHEZ TRIO (France) 5000 EUR
2nd place: PLAYGROUNDS (Austria) 3000 EUR
3rd place: SAOXOLIN QUINTET (Japan) 1000 EUR

Outstanding performances:
Dezső Oláh – piano (Hungary) 750 EUR
